How Are We Different?

During the full moon phase, the body tends to become more sensitive, which is why these sessions are designed differently from regular sound baths.

At UpLife, we consciously work with lunar physiology, nervous system sensitivity, and emotional amplification.

Psychology-rooted, non-judgmental facilitation during heightened emotional states
Designed specifically for lunar nervous system sensitivity and emotional overflow
Sound and breath used as regulatory tools, not stimulants
Trauma-informed, slow, grounding approach to avoid emotional flooding
Integration of BrahmaNada and lunar consciousness principles from ancient Hindu philosophy
Ashtadhatu bowls used to stabilise fluctuating emotional and energetic states
Somatic and breath-led grounding to support safe emotional release
Focus on integration, completion, and letting go, not catharsis alone

Who is it for?

Anyone who feels emotionally intense, restless, or unsettled around full moons
Professionals experiencing burnout, sleep disruption, or nervous exhaustion
Individuals carrying emotional residue they are ready to release
Students facing mental overstimulation or anxiety during lunar cycles
Therapists, caregivers, and healers needing energetic grounding
Spiritual seekers wanting rooted, embodied lunar work
Anyone feeling emotionally “full” and seeking clarity and completion

Hear From the Participants

We’re recording this almost half an hour later, and I’m still feeling the vibrations from the session. The full moon energy made everything feel deeper. The music before and after the session brought a lot of calm; it was honestly beautiful.
During the full moon session, I felt a clear release on the right side of my body: especially my leg and hand. The vibrations felt very close, almost like they were touching my skin. It was intense, but in a good way.
This was the first time I felt fully present in every moment. I also felt my baby move, which made the experience even more special for me.
At the start, my mind was busy, but as the session went on, everything slowly settled. By the end, I felt very calm and grounded. Even after the session, there was a soothing stillness that stayed with me.
The session felt very thoughtfully designed. During the full moon, it felt like a safe space where I could just let go and express whatever came up.

The Science of the Full Moon: Why This Session Exists

The human body is made of nearly 70% water, and just as the moon influences ocean tides, it also affects biological rhythms, sleep cycles, hormonal release, and emotional sensitivity.

Modern research in chronobiology and neuroscience shows that during a full moon:

Melatonin secretion reduces, affecting sleep quality
Emotional reactivity increases due to heightened limbic system activity
The nervous system becomes more sensitive to external stimuli
Subconscious material surfaces more easily

Ancient Hindu wisdom recognised this long before modern science. The moon, or Chandra, governs the mind (Mann). A disturbed lunar rhythm is said to create emotional instability, restlessness, and mental agitation. This is why yogic traditions prescribed specific sadhanas, fasting, silence, and meditation during full moon nights: not to amplify energy, but to stabilise it.

Sound, Moon & Breath: How They Are Connected

Sound and breath are the most direct ways to influence the nervous system during lunar peaks.

Sound vibrations interact with the body’s electromagnetic field, which becomes more receptive during full moon phases
Breath directly regulates the vagus nerve, calming heightened emotional responses
When combined, sound and breath synchronise brainwaves into alpha and theta states, allowing emotional processing without overwhelm

From an ancient perspective, Nada (sound) and Prana (breath) are considered primary carriers of consciousness. During the full moon, these tools help guide excess mental energy back into balance.

Breathwork During the Full Moon

Full moon breathwork is intentionally slow, grounding, and stabilising.

Instead of activating breath patterns, we work with:

Longer exhalations to calm the nervous system
Lunar (Ida-balancing) breath techniques
Gentle somatic awareness to anchor emotional release

Breath flows through Ida, Pingala, and Sushumna nadis. During the full moon, Ida (the lunar channel) becomes dominant. Conscious breathwork prevents emotional overflow by harmonising these channels, allowing energy to settle rather than spike.

As breath deepens, stored emotional tension begins to release safely: often felt as warmth, tingling, emotional clarity, or deep calm.
