Counseling Psychologist

About:

Hello, I’m Soumya. I’m a Counselling Psychologist with a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Christ University, Bengaluru. I abide by the philosophy: “We cannot change, we cannot move away from what we are, until we thoroughly accept what we are. Then change seems to come about almost unnoticed.” — Carl Rogers, On Becoming a Person. My approach is eclectic, trauma-informed, relational, and holistic. I combine evidence-based tools like Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) with emotion-focused, psychospiritual, and mindfulness-based practices. To adapt each session to the pace and rhythm of your unique inner world, I also draw from Transactional Analysis (TA) and Humanistic principles. I work with individuals across all gender identities, typically anyone above 20, who is looking for a space that feels safe, validating, and non-judgmental. As a queer-affirmative therapist, I honour every client’s identity and experience, helping them move toward healing, self-awareness, and a deeper sense of inner grounding. If you’re seeking a space to make sense of your emotional world and gently begin the journey back home to yourself, I’m here to walk alongside you.
