About:
Hi, I'm Suveni (she/her), a psychotherapist at Sanctum Foundation - and I truly believe that while therapy is serious and very important, it doesn’t have to feel intimidating or overly rigid. It can be a space that’s warm, and genuinely human. I completed my Master’s in Applied Psychology, with a specialisation in Clinical and Counselling Practice, from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, in 2022. I’ve learned the most by being present with people - asking, listening, and making room for the messy, complicated parts of life that don’t always make sense right away. My approach to therapy I believe that therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all; each person deserves a space that feels uniquely theirs. I work from an eclectic framework, drawing from person-centred therapy as my base, while also incorporating tools from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Art Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Talk Therapy, depending on what feels right for you. I’ve had the chance to work with adolescents, young adults and middle-aged adults navigating a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, family conflicts, emotional and behavioural challenges, and anger management. Every story is different, and I try to meet each person where they are. At the heart of my work is the intention to offer a space that feels safe, accepting, and free of judgement - a space where you can show up as you are, think out loud, explore, and feel heard. I care deeply about honouring the complexities that each individual brings into the room, and I strive to make those differences feel seen, understood, and supported.
