About:
Hi, I’m Vidhi Shah, a Counselling Psychologist with 5 years of experience in counselling and Psychotherapy along with over a year of experience in supervision.
Over the years, I have drawn from different therapeutic approaches in my work. However, the foundation that I believe creates meaningful change for my clients has always been the therapeutic relationship including the connection, trust and safety that we build together. And that is exactly what I hope to create within my supervision space as well: a space where we pause, reflect, and explore questions, doubts, ideas, and approaches together.
One of my supervisors once told me, “We are Practicing Therapists because our work is a continuous practice of learning.” I carry this belief forward that becoming a better therapist is an ongoing journey. We are allowed to feel lost, make mistakes, reflect on them, and grow through them.
Through our supervision, I hope to hold space for us to approach our clients’ experiences with curiosity, explore the many layers of what emerges in therapy, and deepen our understanding of ourselves as therapists.
Alongside growing as therapists, I hope we also learn to care for ourselves, navigate the emotional demands of this profession, and continue becoming more present practitioners, one experience at a time.
