About:
Sanjana believes in each person’s natural capacity to heal, grow, and find new ways of seeing themselves and the world around them. She takes a flexible and personalized approach to therapy, meeting each client where they are and supporting them in shaping their own path. While she integrates evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) strategies, and psychodynamic insights, her work is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and collaboration. She strives to make sessions both thoughtful and practical, bringing in warmth and even a touch of humor to help clients build coping tools and move toward their goals. Sanjana works with individuals navigating a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem and body image challenges, relationship and family dynamics, and body-focused repetitive behaviors. She also has a special interest in supporting clients with multicultural and identity-related issues. Her experience spans work with children, adolescents, and adults across the U.S., India, and Australia. Over the past several years, Sanjana has worked in respected private practices across New York City, where she provided therapy to clients from diverse cultural, personal, and professional backgrounds. These experiences helped her develop a strong foundation in addressing complex concerns with sensitivity and care, and deepened her commitment to creating a safe, supportive, and goal-oriented therapeutic space.
